1. Accepting these terms

By using Glass & Gravel you accept these terms. If you do not, please stop using the site.

2. What this site is

Editorial content about betta and nano aquariums: product research, published specifications, and arithmetic derived from them. It is published for general information.

It is not veterinary advice. It is not a substitute for a qualified aquatic veterinarian, and it does not diagnose or treat illness in any animal. Our editorial policy states that boundary explicitly, and we hold to it.

3. What the content is based on, and is not

We have not tested the products on this site. Every page says so. Our recommendations are based on published manufacturer specifications, published care documentation, and arithmetic we perform on those figures and publish in full.

The method, including its limits, is set out here. Read it before relying on anything.

Specifications change, products are discontinued, and manufacturers revise their own documentation. We check what we publish and cite the source, and we cannot guarantee a third party’s figures are correct or current. Verify anything that matters against the manufacturer before you buy.

4. Affiliate links

This site contains affiliate links and earns commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. The full disclosure. Every commercial link is marked.

We are not the seller. Any purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, on their terms, with their pricing, shipping, warranty and returns. Questions about an order go to them.

5. Live animals

Content on this site discusses keeping live animals. You are responsible for the welfare of any animal in your care and for compliance with local law on keeping and acquiring aquatic species.

We do not sell livestock and we do not link to it.

6. No warranty

This site is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that the content is complete, accurate or current, or that the site will be available without interruption.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glass & Gravel and Slate Mill Group are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from any purchase made through a link on it, including loss of or harm to livestock, equipment failure, or property damage from a leak, an electrical fault or a heater malfunction.

Aquarium equipment involves electricity in proximity to water. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, use a residual current device or GFCI outlet, and form a drip loop in every cable.

8. Third-party links

We link to manufacturer pages, published care documentation and retailers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

9. Intellectual property

The text, arithmetic and page structure on this site are ours. You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link. You may not republish pages wholesale, and you may not use this content to train a commercial model without permission.

Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here for identification. Photography is licensed stock or is supplied by the retailer’s API, as described in the methodology.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continued use of the site after that constitutes acceptance.
